Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Senior Maintenance & Plant Engineering Manager to lead our plant’s maintenance, reliability, and engineering operations.
- The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and a proven track record of driving sustainable improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Provide engineering leadership for plant utilities, infrastructure, and equipment systems including HVAC, boilers, compressed air, and water treatment.
- Lead the design, specification, and implementation of capital projects, ensuring alignment with safety, reliability, and operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate engineering solutions that improve process efficiency, energy usage, and equipment maintainability.
- Manage engineering documentation, including P&IDs, equipment drawings, and utility schematics.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and engineering standards.
- Lead and develop a high performing maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Design and implement reliability centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to improve asset uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition based maintenance programs using CMMS and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to address chronic equipment issues.
- Ensure all equipment and systems meet food safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
- Develops department’s budgets. Implements and controls approved budgets.
- Ensure a safe, efficient and effective use of all manpower and other resources under his supervision. Monitor subordinates for compliance to OSHA, EPA, FDA, and USDA regulations.
- Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling to ensure efficient execution of work with minimal production disruption.
- Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance budgets to support proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ensure CMMS data integrity and accurate documentation of maintenance procedures and reliability standards.
- Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, equipment reliability metrics, and audit readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership within a manufacturing environment. (Food or CPG experience preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, as well as plant utilities and infrastructure.
- Proven experience implementing RCM, TPM and other reliability frameworks.
- Proficiency with CMMS/EAM platforms and reliability analytics tools.
- Demonstrated success in capital planning, project management, and cross functional collaboration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
