Job Title: Manufacturing Technician – Aerospace Masking
Location: South Windsor, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour | Weekly Pay

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Masking Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in South Windsor, CT. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing aerospace components for finishing processes by carefully masking metallic and non-metallic parts according to detailed customer specifications and blueprints. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision craftsmanship and maintaining high quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply masking tapes, foils, plugs, screws, and related materials to aerospace components based on blueprint and customer specifications


  • Interpret detailed masking requirements for various part numbers and customer instructions


  • Handle and mask parts weighing 20+ pounds depending on product type


  • Utilize hand tools to achieve precise and clean masking results


  • Maintain strict quality standards and follow all safety procedures during production processes


  • Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and customer documentation


  • Support team production goals while maintaining the ability to work independently


  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

Qualifications

  • Previous masking experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment required


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed work instructions


  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship


  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity


  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements


  • Comfortable standing for extended periods in an active production environment


  • Basic computer skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities


  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted hours when production demands require
