What’s a typical day as an Taxpayer Services – Analyst? You will:

  • Analyze taxpayer services eServices programs, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Identify and eliminate nonvalue-added process steps, contributing to continuous improvement across the division

  • Serve as a liaison between the Information Technology section, software vendors, and business users

  • Engage with internal and external customers, and assist with moderately complex vendor inquiries

  • Compile and report regular findings and insights for management

  • Conduct specialized management studies and coordinate project planning as needed

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

  • Experience with business/management analysis of eServices programs (from a business, not software development, perspective)

  • At least 1 year of tax service, government/public/regulatory compliance, or accounting experience

  • Customer Service/Technical Support experience with internal, external, or third-party customers

  • Familiarity with XML (Altova XMLSpy), SQL (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio), and Azure DevOps (preferred but not required)

  • Quality Assurance testing skills and a knack for methodical problem-solving using analytical methods

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Knowledge of public administration, effective planning/organization, and contemporary business practices

  • Familiarity with automated information systems analysis, design, and implementation

  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills, plus strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Windows PCs, MS Office Suite, and Google Suite applications

  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in high-pressure situations

Requirements:

  1. Business/Management analysis experience related to eServices (not focused on IT development/support)

  2. 1+ years’ experience in tax, regulatory, or public sector fields

  3. Relevant customer service or technical support background

  4. XML, QA Testing, SQL, and Azure DevOps highly valued
