Material Handler – General Labor / Forklift Operator
Location:
Fulton, MO
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm (transitioning to 4×10 shifts after initial period)
Pay Rate:
$17–$18 per hour
Position Overview:
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through safe and efficient handling of lumber and pallet materials. This position involves unloading truck shipments, driving a forklift, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and performing general labor tasks. Candidates must be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds independently. Once the worksite is established and organized, the Material Handler will transition into a Sorter role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming truck shipments and safely move lumber or pallet materials within the facility.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and support daily warehouse operations.
- Perform general labor duties, including site cleanup and workplace maintenance.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently according to company standards.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory as needed.
- Transition to a Sorter position once initial building setup and organization are complete.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong attention to safety and workplace cleanliness.
- Willingness to perform general labor and work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to new roles and responsibilities as operations grow.
