Laboratory Document Control Specialist
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Document Control Specialist for a Contract-to-hire opportunity in Carson, CA. Pay: $22-23/hour
Location: Carson, CA
Schedule: Day Shift Mon-Fri
Overview
The Document Control Specialist plays an essential role within Research Development by performing a variety of clerical, documentation, and data?focused tasks that directly support both the Document Control and Stability teams. This role requires strong attention to detail, maturity, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a fast?paced team.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily clerical duties as requested, including data preparation and entry, filing, scanning, and follow?up on submissions.
- Create spreadsheets and generate reports to support departmental needs.
- Assist with housekeeping tasks within the laboratory as needed.
- Support Research Development staff by providing accurate, organized, and timely documentation.
- Maintain accuracy and organization across documentation workflows.
- Utilize office equipment including scanners, copiers, and standard administrative tools.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills including email systems, spreadsheets, databases, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of PC or Mac computers and related applications.
- Skilled at setting priorities and remaining flexible in response to changing needs.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast?paced team environment.
- Experience in a laboratory research setting preferred.
- Skilled in working independently and completing assignments with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential materials with discretion.
- High attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of both departments.
- Ability to use standard office equipment (telephones, copy machines, scanners).
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Requirements
- Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
- AS or BS degree preferred; open to entry?level recent graduates.
- Open to high?school diploma candidates with the right experience.
- Highly motivated and interested in all aspects of Research Development.
