Job details

The Mechanical Turnaround Planner must be experienced in turnaround job planning with skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope. The job package includes all information about required resources including; Labor, Materials, Tools, Equipment, and Services, and cost estimate needed to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.

 

Responsibilities:

* Drive assigned Turnaround Field Planning Activities to achieve maximum value for the business.

* Conduct field visits and walk out the job with plant personnel to ensure completeness and accuracy of scope

* Identify / document all task & activities necessary to execute job plan.

* Identify / solicit Safety information & requirements to perform job tasks.

* Prepare job plans and job package per specified scope and include: Labor, tools, equip., materials, services, and cost needed to complete job.

* Input job plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services

* Utilize other information technology tools such as ARCPC, EDMS, MOC, and Primavera to optimize the planning process.

* Initiate improvements in the planning process and tools and teach others in these improvements.

* Work as a field coordinator, zone coordinator, or assist in a coordinator type role during Turnaround Execution.

 

Required Qualifications:

* Current, valid US driver’s license.

* The Turnaround Planner must have a good understanding of Mechanical craft skill sets and application of those craft skills when applying them to job tasks.

* Willing to adhere to all safety standards, including the smoke free and drug-free workplace policy.

* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Good interpersonal skills are required.

* Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.

* A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.

* Able to work within an empowered team environment.
