CNC Lathe Operator – Traverse City, MI
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00am – 2:30pm

As a Machine Operator, you’ll run and oversee a CNC hard turning lathe to produce high-precision components. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with strong mechanical skills, sharp attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting high production and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run and monitor a CNC hard turning lathe with Siemens controls
- Load raw materials and unload finished precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Measure and inspect components using micrometers, calipers, precision gauges, and Zeiss equipment
- Perform routine machine upkeep and troubleshoot basic issues
- Ensure parts meet strict quality and production standards
- Handle materials, including cleaning, deburring, and packaging
- Accurately complete job documentation and inspection records
- Convert measurements between standard and metric as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2+ years of CNC lathe experience
- Comfortable reading and interpreting part prints and technical drawings
- Skilled with precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and solid math skills
- Detail-focused and committed to producing high-quality work
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Background in quality control
- Forklift experience is a plus
