Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA (Onsite)
Assignment Length: 18 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour
Shift Information: 3rd Shift, 40 hours/week, with up to 5 hours of overtime per week possible
Work Environment: Fully onsite position; 50–75% of time spent on the shop floor. Metatarsal safety boots are required.

Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing approval criteria, investigating quality issues, and driving corrective actions within a team-based setting. You’ll spend the majority of your time on the shop floor, providing direction to inspectors, facilitating discussions, and helping to identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria and identify quality concerns
- Investigate unit quality issues, gather and analyze data, resolve/facilitate resolution, and implement corrective actions
- Provide direction to inspectors on containment, quality procedures, and monitoring critical processes
- Facilitate quality-related discussions with internal and external customers to drive corrective actions
- Generate monthly quality reports for metrics monitoring and participate in management reviews
- Identify and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Team-based approach and strong communication skills
- Shop floor experience (50-75% of time will be spent on the shop floor)
- Must be able to wear and work in metatarsal safety boots
Education:
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred, but not required
- Other degrees and equivalent relevant work experience will be considered
Additional Information:
- Fully onsite role (no remote work)
