Job Purpose
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the efficient movement, loading, unloading, and documentation of inventory within the warehouse, with a particular focus on shipping operations. This role requires strong shipping experience and proficiency in operating Order Picker, Sit Down, and Stand Up forklifts. Safety, accuracy, and supporting operational excellence are essential. *Note: Must have shipping and receiving experience.*

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate Order Picker, Sit Down, and Stand Up forklifts to move products and materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.

  • Unload vendor deliveries and inspect items for quality and compliance.

  • Stock, transfer, and relocate inventory to appropriate locations (shelf, bin, rack, pipe bundle) based on size, type, and style.

  • Accurately mark and document materials, updating inventory records through scanning or data entry.

  • Assemble, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment via UPS, LTL, SH, Air, etc., with an emphasis on shipping speed and accuracy.

  • Safely pull orders for shipment and load materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

  • Help maintain warehouse cleanliness and follow OSHA and customer safety standards.

  • Assist with warehouse transfers, modifications, and shipping-related projects as needed.

  • Report hazards or incidents promptly and adhere strictly to all safety protocols.

  • Perform additional duties as needed to support overall team goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Proven experience with shipping operations within a warehouse environment.

  • Forklift operator certification preferred; must be able to operate Order Picker, Sit Down, and Stand Up forklifts safely and efficiently.

  • Basic math, reading, typing, and computer skills.

  • Ability to learn and adhere to company, federal, and health/safety guidelines.

  • Legal work authorization documentation required.

  • Proficient English reading and speaking skills for safety communication and workplace interactions.

  • Ability to comply with company guidelines, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest.
