Job details
Our client is seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer to support the assembly, certification, and flight testing of drones. This role leads flight-test planning, execution, and data analysis to ensure drone performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. The position works cross-functionally with engineering teams, supports regular flight test operations, and include outdoor testing in various conditions and locations as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5–10 years of Drone/UAV experience in the testing of the same
- Proven experience planning and conducting unmanned flight tests
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards
- Must possess a Security Clerance or be able to obtain one
- Experience with telemetry, data acquisition, and flight control systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based test environments
- Must be able to travel as needed- up to 50% when necessary
