Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: St Joseph Mo
Reports To: Office Manager
Department: Shipping and Receiving
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Compare identifying information and perform counts, weights, or measurements of items to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determine the most efficient method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Route items to appropriate departments for processing and distribution.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies, ensuring availability for operational needs.
- $16.00 hourly pay rate
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in administrative writing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage processes effectively and efficiently.
- Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of supply management and inventory control practices.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Monday – Friday, 7 AM to 3:30
