Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Forklift Driver
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20 per hour
Location: North Charleston, SC 29405


Job Summary

As a Warehouse Associate/Forklift Driver, you will provide critical support in the packaging, warehousing, and distribution of goods. You will ensure inventory is handled accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. Work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and repackage products (bulk/package)

  • Perform tank readings, customer pick-ups, and coordinate LTL shipments

  • Restock warehouse and driver supplies

  • Load, fill, and label drums, kegs, pails, and other containers from bulk

  • Operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and electric jack as required

  • Pick, stage, and secure products for delivery according to schedules/manifests

  • Unload delivery trucks efficiently and store items properly

  • Complete and submit daily records of products received/filled

  • Maintain accurate loading/unloading slips and packing documentation

  • Track returned drum inventory

  • Keep warehouse clean, orderly, and safe; report maintenance and safety concerns (e.g., fire extinguisher checks)

  • Conduct periodic inventory counts

  • Follow all company policies, especially health and safety procedures

  • Maintain flexibility for scheduling including weekends and overtime as needed

  • Interact positively and professionally with customers and colleagues

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • At least 1 year of warehouse or related experience; equivalent combinations considered

Certificates & Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus)

  • Forklift certification strongly preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, schedules, and maps

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience in an ERP environment is desirable

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods

  • Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally

  • May require climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching

  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving machinery and occasional heights/electrical hazards

  • Noisy environment; safety protocols in place
