Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Worker – Receiving Inspector
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Join Our Production Operations Team
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Worker / Receiving Inspector to support our SendTech Production Operations team in Shelton, CT. This role is ideal for someone with experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, and material handling who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
In this role, you will help ensure incoming materials and parts meet quality standards, support production operations, and maintain accurate inventory flow within the facility.
What You’ll Do
As part of the operations team, you will play a key role in maintaining quality and efficiency across the production floor.
Primary Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, parts, kits, and finished goods for quality and specification compliance

Process inbound shipments using ASN and PO/STO systems

Maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory control for all incoming materials

Manage bulk inventory tracking and update logs using Excel

Handle returns (RTV), scrap materials, and internal material movement

Distribute sub-assemblies and parts to support production lines

Support internal and external quality audits

Maintain compliance with ISO 9000 quality standards

Assist with monthly inventory cycle counts

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Collaborate with production and operations teams to support daily manufacturing goals
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, inspection, or manufacturing operations
-
Forklift certification and operating experience
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications

Experience using mechanical inspection tools, such as:
-
Micrometers
-
Calipers
-
Height gauges
-
Optical comparators
-
Thread gauges
-

Ability to perform mechanical inspections, including first article layouts for complex parts

Knowledge of geometric tolerancing

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in production manufacturing or assembly line environments

Prior shipping and receiving experience

Strong attention to detail and quality control
-
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or TUV auditing processes
