Job Title: Batch Weigher
Location: Hicksville, NY
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Hours: 4pm–1am (Schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays; hours subject to business needs)
Job Overview:
Join our production team as a Batch Weigher! In this role, you’ll help prepare kettles by pre-weighing ingredients and ensuring efficient operations on the processing floor. If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy working in a hands-on environment, and are committed to safety and quality, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-weigh ingredients and add to scheduled kettles
- Communicate with cooks about production plans
- Inspect raw materials for quality and sanitation
- Complete checklists and reports
- Ensure proper operation of equipment (scales, flexicon, etc.)
- Wash kettles between rotations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow HACCP principles and food safety practices
- Record batch information and keep ingredients covered, sealed, and labeled
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and perform active movements throughout shift
- Able to work in hot/cold and dusty environments
- Wear steel toe shoes and required PPE
Preferred:
- Experience checking equipment for sanitation
- Comfortable completing batch records and reports
