Assistant Machine Operator – Food Manufacturing (Temp-to-Hire)

We’re hiring Assistant Machine Operators to join a food manufacturing facility in Macedon, NY. This is a temp-to-hire role, giving you the chance to become a full-time team member with benefits after the temporary period.

Shift & Pay:

  • 2nd Shift: Mon–Fri | 4 PM–12:30 AM | $18/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist operators with running and monitoring production lines

  • Handle packing, stacking, and inspection tasks for various products

  • Prepare packaging materials and ensure lines are supplied

  • Operate equipment such as labelers, case packers, and case erectors

  • Check product codes and verify quality standards

  • Follow safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Help maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S standards

  • Communicate production concerns to team leads and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass screening requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate in English

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (heat, noise, moisture)

  • Must be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, hairnet, steel-toe shoes, etc.)
