Job Title: EH&S Lead
Overview: Leads site or hub Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance and drives implementation of the safety management system across multiple disciplines, including health and safety (H&S), environmental protection, air and water quality, and industrial hygiene. Ensures ongoing “license to operate” for the facility by maintaining adherence to relevant regulations and standards. This role requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in EH&S and broad capabilities across various compliance areas.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of global EH&S management systems across assigned site/hub.
- Drive EH&S performance improvement initiatives for plant(s), site, hub, and related business units.
- Coordinate, implement, and optimize EH&S compliance programs and initiatives across the site/hub.
- Participate in incident investigations and support the corrective action process for EH&S issues and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct central review of EH&S-related documents and submittals to ensure uniformity and compliance with corporate goals.
- Perform Requirements Management Work Process (RWMP) roles as assigned.
- Initiate and support Management of Change (MOC) processes for EH&S programs and compliance matters.
- Serve as the Agency Visit protocol owner and lead implementation of agency visit procedures and requirements.
- Manage permits, including submission of permit applications for new and modified equipment, permit change requests, and renewal applications.
- Coach, train, and mentor EH&S technicians and staff.
- Conduct site or plant gap assessments for EH&S work process implementation, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop, review, monitor, and deliver EH&S training programs as appropriate.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in EH&S, manufacturing, chemical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, chemical industry, or EH&S discipline.
