Freight Audit and Finance Analyst

Kelly is seeking a Freight Audit and Finance Analyst to work with our client, a leader in the biotech industry, on a temporary basis for about 22 weeks at their Sunnyvale campus to cover for a parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the organization’s Global Logistics team.
The Freight Audit and Finance Analyst will:
- Review payment and invoice questions from carriers, auditing freight invoices against quoted rates and maintaining a database to log all invoice details
- Prepare month-end accrual report
- Work with freight carriers directly to resolve any invoicing errors
- Communicate invoice approvals and proper coding to AP for processing and payment
- Manage blanket purchase orders to freight vendors to ensure sufficient funds to cover invoices, submit new purchase requests in SAP as needed
- Review aging reports from freight vendors to ensure all invoices have been received and accounts are current
- Track multiple KPIs related to the 3rd party freight audit/payment partner to monitor their performance and escalate any issue to management as needed
- Obtain freight quotes from logistics vendors and maintain a database of all quotes provided
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role/environment
- Previous experience auditing freight invoices preferred
- Previous SAP experience preferred
- Superb organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of typical freight quote structure and understanding of rates, surcharges, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills (pivot tables, graphs, summary reports, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of U.S. export regulations and familiar with export documentation
