Kelly is seeking a Freight Audit and Finance Analyst to work with our client, a leader in the biotech industry, on a temporary basis for about 22 weeks at their Sunnyvale campus to cover for a parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the organization’s Global Logistics team.

The Freight Audit and Finance Analyst will:

  • Review payment and invoice questions from carriers, auditing freight invoices against quoted rates and maintaining a database to log all invoice details

  • Prepare month-end accrual report

  • Work with freight carriers directly to resolve any invoicing errors

  • Communicate invoice approvals and proper coding to AP for processing and payment

  • Manage blanket purchase orders to freight vendors to ensure sufficient funds to cover invoices, submit new purchase requests in SAP as needed

  • Review aging reports from freight vendors to ensure all invoices have been received and accounts are current

  • Track multiple KPIs related to the 3rd party freight audit/payment partner to monitor their performance and escalate any issue to management as needed

  • Obtain freight quotes from logistics vendors and maintain a database of all quotes provided

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role/environment

  • Previous experience auditing freight invoices preferred

  • Previous SAP experience preferred

  • Superb organizational skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of typical freight quote structure and understanding of rates, surcharges, etc.

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills (pivot tables, graphs, summary reports, etc.)

  • Knowledgeable of U.S. export regulations and familiar with export documentation
