Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Technician / Quality Inspector for a contract-to-permanent opportunity in Valdosta, GA. This role supports manufacturing quality operations through product inspection, documentation control, and quality system compliance. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with inspection tools, documentation systems, and ERP platforms. Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and exposure to CMM reporting is strongly preferred.
This position operates on a day shift schedule Monday through Thursday with 10-hour shifts and a half day on Friday, offering a strong work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming inspection of materials and components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify and count incoming materials against purchase orders and documentation.
- Conduct inspections using calipers, gauges, height gauges, and pin gauges.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and quality documentation processes.
- Assist with customer return investigations and documentation.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and document control within the quality management system.
- Enter and manage inspection data within the ERP system.
- Monitor, train, and mentor QC inspectors to ensure consistent inspection standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Communicate quality issues effectively with production and engineering teams.
