Job details

Kelly Services is seeking a Day Shift Gas / Chemical Technician to support high-volume manufacturing operations at the Samsung Semiconductor facility in Taylor, TX. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of gas and chemical distribution systems that support semiconductor production.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $20 to $22 per hour (based on experience)

Compressed Work Week Shift

  • Shift A (FE Days) Sunday to Tuesday every other Wednesday

  • Shift C (BE Days) Thursday to Saturday every other Wednesday

  • If a Holiday falls on your scheduled shift, you will be required to work the Holiday

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas bulk delivery systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment

  • Collaborate closely with Samsung personnel and other contingent workforce team members

  • Work outdoors in a physically active role requiring attention to detail and situational awareness Safely handle and change out chemical and slurry containers

  • Monitor and operate systems using HMI/PLC interfaces (preferred)

  • Maintain accurate records and follow all safety protocols

  • Walk 3–5 miles per day throughout the facility

  • Climb ladders (up to 12 ft) using fall protection

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.; bend, reach, and perform physical tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Experience with gas or chemical systems preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with UHP systems, HMI/PLC, or gas-related equipment is a plus

  • OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
