Kelly Services is hiring a Production Operator (Vacuum Chamber Operator) in South Windsor, CT!

Join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment supporting critical coating processes for components used in the aerospace, defense, and energy industries. In this role, you’ll operate specialized vacuum chamber equipment used to apply aluminum coatings to precision parts while ensuring strict quality and process standards are met.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate vacuum chamber equipment used for aluminum coating processes on aerospace components

  • Inspect parts before and after coating to ensure proper coverage and adherence to specifications

  • Hang and prepare parts for coating while following detailed customer and production instructions

  • Review job cards and follow written procedures to meet specific customer coating requirements

  • Measure coated parts and verify coating thickness using inspection tools and test equipment

  • Coat test pieces and submit them to Quality or Lab teams for verification and approval

  • Complete routers, production documentation, and inspection records accurately

  • Assist with routine maintenance and periodic cleaning of vacuum chamber equipment

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or aerospace environments preferred

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work from detailed process documentation

  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset

  • Comfortable using measurement tools, test equipment, and basic production equipment

  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-based production environment

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude

Schedule & Pay

  • Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time

  • $20.00/hr | Weekly Pay

  • Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
