Kelly Services is hiring a Manufacturing Operator (Burnisher/Sandblaster) in South Windsor, CT!

Join a growing aerospace manufacturing environment where precision, quality, and attention to detail are essential. In this role, you’ll perform burnishing and abrasive blasting operations on aerospace components, helping ensure surfaces meet strict aerospace coating and finishing standards before final processing.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate burnishing cabinets, blasting booths, or walk-in blasting equipment

  • Load and unload burnishing cabinets with glass bead or other approved blasting media

  • Perform burnishing on parts coated with IVD Aluminum to meet detailed customer specifications

  • Conduct abrasive blasting and surface finishing operations on metallic and non-metallic components

  • Visually inspect parts before, during, and after blasting or burnishing to ensure proper surface treatment

  • Handle and position aerospace parts weighing 20+ pounds depending on part size and type

  • Assist with related production processes including masking or material preparation when needed

  • Maintain safe work practices and follow aerospace manufacturing and production procedures

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous burnishing, sandblasting, abrasive blasting, or surface finishing experience preferred

  • Experience working with blasting cabinets, mechanical equipment, or power tools is helpful

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English per FAA regulations

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment

  • Positive attitude with flexibility to assist across production areas when needed

Schedule & Pay

  • Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Full-Time

  • $20.00/hr | Weekly Pay

  • Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
