Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our manufacturing team. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various building systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey and repair building mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs, sockets, and servicing circuit breaker panels
- Assist in installation, maintenance, and repairs of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems for consistent functionality
- Inspect and assist with the repair of fire and alarm systems as required
- Conduct manual repairs such as lock fixing and window replacement
- Carry out pest control activities, including spraying insecticides
- Perform general upkeep tasks, such as landscaping, painting, carpentry, and other duties as assigned
- Support budget preparation and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician (1-3 years)
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and general maintenance systems
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and willingness to work overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field preferred
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus
