Research Technician
Location: Northborough, MA 01532
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay rate: USD$ 20.00 – 30.00 (according to experience)
Contract: Temp to hire
Qualifications:
• 1-5 years experience
• Hands on experience in general laboratory tasks including proper chemical handling
• Basic data processing and analysis
• Manages and documents projects and tasks effectively with supervision
• Materials processing experience is a plus
• Work experience related to abrasives is preferred
Responsibilities:
• Safely performs specialized R&D assignments, involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and/or solving problems concerning our processes, equipment, and products.
• Supports engineers and scientists in R&D team with their projects
• Prepares/processes materials samples including:
– Active involvement in standard and exploratory experiment design
– Routine laboratory activity to make or prep materials and test samples
– Development work with non-routine R&D assignments such as design of fixtures for experimental set-up and establishing proper data acquisition.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Work in both the R&D and industry environments at the same time.
