Sanitation Technician

As a Sanitation Technician, you’ll play a crucial part in keeping food production safe and clean. Working as part of a team, you’ll use specialized equipment and chemicals to clean and sanitize all areas of the facility, meeting strict USDA, FDA, and customer standards. This hands-on role is physical and fast-paced, perfect for dependable team players who care about safety and quality.

Location: Upper Darby, PA 19082
Pay: $17.50/hr (Weekly Pay)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • 2 years of prior Sanitation experience.

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, floors, walls, and work areas.

  • Take apart and put equipment back together so it gets fully cleaned.

  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow instructions.

  • Check that everything is ready for inspection before use.

  • Follow all safety rules, including wearing protective gear.

Work Environment:
As a Sanitation Technician, you’ll work inside a food production facility with different areas that can be hot, cold, wet, or noisy. Some parts of the plant may be as cold as 40 degrees (refrigeration areas), so it’s important to dress warmly. You’ll be on your feet for the whole shift, moving around, bending, lifting, and using hoses or other cleaning equipment.
Dress Code:

  • No shorts allowed; full-length pants are required.

  • Dress in layers or bring warm clothes for working in cold areas (about 40°F).

  • You’ll also need to wear personal protective equipment (like gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection), which will be provided.

  • Safety and teamwork are very important. You’ll work closely with your team and supervisors to keep the facility clean and safe. If you like staying active, doing hands-on work, and being part of a reliable team, you’ll do well in this environment!
