Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$37.80 per hour / Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm / Contract-to-hire

What’s a typical day as a Safety Coordinator? You’ll be:

  • Leading and promoting the highest standards of safety and ensuring compliance with all plant safety regulations

  • Taking ownership of personal and team safety, communicating concerns, accidents, or near-misses promptly, and ensuring immediate action is taken when required

  • Supporting plant initiatives such as safety, quality, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and housekeeping programs

  • Providing safety training to new hires, updating and maintaining the Lock Tag Try (LTT) program, and writing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Work documentation

  • Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, participating in recycling procedures for waste disposal, and helping reduce environmental impact

  • Actively engaging in and supporting colleague training and development while demonstrating flexibility with changing plant priorities

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)

  • Have previous manufacturing experience (preferred)

  • Are at least 18 years old, able to remain drug-free, and capable of working in extreme temperature variations with mandatory PPE

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written

  • Possess the ability to train others in safety and environmental tasks and maintain high attention to detail while multitasking efficiently

  • Are proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Exhibit a positive work ethic, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a proactive approach to safety issues and learning opportunities
