Kelly Services is hiring a Machine Operator (Heading Operator) in Winsted, CT!
Join a precision manufacturing environment producing metal components used in advanced industrial applications. In this role, you’ll operate heading machines and thermal equipment while ensuring parts meet production specifications and quality standards.
What You’ll Do
- Operate heading machines to produce forged components
- Set up equipment and adjust tooling as needed
- Operate induction heater box furnaces for hot forged parts
- Verify raw materials, wire/rod size, and heat numbers
- Perform in-process inspections including dimensional checks
- Record production data on routers and process logs
- Assist with minor machine repairs and preventive maintenance
- Maintain tooling within the Tooling Control Program
What You’ll Bring
- Machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with forging, heading machines, or metal forming a plus
- Ability to follow manufacturing routers and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to adjust equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule & Pay
- Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | Full-Time
- $22.50/hr | Weekly Pay
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
