We’re seeking 10 QC Scientists (Raw Material) to work with one of our top pharmaceutical industry clients in Gurabo, PR. With us, it’s all about helping you find the position that’s just right for your career.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform and review chemical and physical tests on raw materials, products, and utilities (such as water), following both internal and compendia specs.
- Investigate questionable analytical results and ensure compliance with all quality control policies and procedures, supporting high product quality and the supply chain process.
- Operate a range of analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, pH meters, balances, dissolution baths).
- Accurately record, review, and report findings, maintaining complete and clear documentation for all work performed.
- Support special projects (equipment calibration, method transfers, process and cleaning validation).
- Participate in quality, safety, and environmental projects, as well as ongoing training and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of all materials, maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively as part of the quality control team to meet lab schedules and business process goals.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (BA or BS)
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience; experience with Wet Chemistry and compendia (USP/EP/JP/ChP) techniques is highly desirable
- Flexibility to work all shifts, with availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of cGMP’s and quality/regulatory compliance standards
- Technical expertise in analytical chemistry techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, etc.)
- Computer and software skills (LIMS experience a plus)
- Ability to understand the connection between lab performance and business results
- Strong documentation, technical writing, and bilingual communication skills (English & Spanish)
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience training colleagues on lab and analytical techniques
