About the Opportunity
Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physicians to deliver high-quality primary care to our nation’s veterans in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Providers will work onsite as part of a dynamic, collaborative Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) dedicated to comprehensive, veteran-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care: Preventive services, chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, etc.), acute evaluations, mental health screening, and women’s health.
- Serve as PACT team leader; coordinate with specialists, mental health, social work, pharmacy, and community providers.
- Manage referrals, consults, admissions, and follow-up.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Integrate geriatric and palliative care; address unique needs of elderly patients.
- Conduct telehealth and virtual visits as needed.
- Maintain timely, accurate medical records using VA electronic health record system.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement and peer review processes.
- Comply with all performance standards, VA policies, JTC, AHA, HIPAA, and VA Privacy standards.
- Participate in administrative duties (~10% of time).
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, clinical practice, and ongoing training requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license (in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia).
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Technically proficient; fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must provide a current DEA certificate.
- Ability to comply with TB testing and immunization requirements.
- BLS and ACLS certification encouraged but not required.
- Experience meeting national standards of care for primary care, as set by ABIM, AOBIM, ACP, SGIM, AAFP, TJC, and AHA.
- Must abide by all VA, federal, and facility-specific privacy, documentation, and quality assurance requirements.
- U.S. legal eligibility to work per the Immigration and Nationality Act.
