Job details

Job Title: Production Worker
Location: Hoosick Falls, NY 12090 
Work Schedule: Mon to Fri, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: USD 19.00 per hour 
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 3-month duration (temp to hire) 

Skills

  • High school diploma or GED, or 2–3 years manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Good reasoning skills and mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience in a team-based environment

  • Familiarity with facility safety programs

  • PC skills (Word, Excel, presentations)

  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) systems

  • Understanding of quality standards and product specifications

Working Conditions

  • Normal office and manufacturing plant environment (exposure to both hot and cold conditions, industrial solvents, and other materials)

  • May require occasional overtime to meet objectives

Physical Demands

  • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

  • Physical tasks include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, twisting, gripping, and stair climbing

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and cleaning processes; move and transport materials

  • Take responsibility for product quality through regular testing and inspections

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment; address breakdowns promptly

  • Operate mobile equipment for material and product movement

  • Maintain and update inventory of raw materials and finished goods; reorder as needed

  • Ensure area cleanliness and organization following 5S principles

  • Collaborate and participate in team meetings, improvement efforts, and WCM activities

  • Learn and perform various roles across the plant; train and assist coworkers as needed

  • Support plant-wide initiatives and respond to any assigned duties
