Pay Rate: $34-$40/hr, based on experience
1st shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
What’s a typical day as Industrial Electrician? You’ll be:
- Independently troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled production equipment
- Installing and troubleshooting AC and DC circuits and equipment (24vdc, 120/208/480vac)
- Performing PLC programming, troubleshooting, and networking, as well as AC drive and HMI panel installation and troubleshooting
- Conducting preventive and predictive maintenance as scheduled
- Collaborating with engineering to design, modify, or adapt equipment and procedures for project requirements
- Testing, calibrating, and repairing electronic/mechanical devices and instruments
- Maintaining accurate records in the maintenance system
- Communicating effectively with co-workers and Team Leaders, supporting continuous improvement efforts
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding electrical, PLC, and hydraulic machinery
- OR have a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a skilled trade with an electrical discipline and extensive PLC experience, with or without formal post-secondary education
- Possess advanced training or certifications in Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) systems (preferred)
- Own your trade tools and have formal electronic training on AC/DC circuits and advanced PLC functions
- Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical systems, instrumentation & controls, and experience using blueprints, schematics, and measuring devices
- Have a strong work ethic, commitment to attendance, and respect for safety, quality, and organizational policies
- Communicate well (verbal and written), follow specifications, and work both independently and in a team setting
- Are able to use computers and machine tools such as drills, lathes, and millers
