Pay Rate: $120-140K based on experience
1st shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

What’s a typical day as Shipping Manager? You’ll be:

• Ensuring all outgoing products and materials are transported efficiently and economically
  

• Negotiating rates and coordinating freight with carriers
  

• Communicating with internal teams (sales, managers, senior staff) and external partners (carriers, ports, shipping agents) to troubleshoot logistics issues and negotiate pricing
  

• Providing logistics analysis and maintaining competitive information on freight
  

• Developing and managing performance metrics for shipping and logistics operations
  

• Leading by example to promote safety, efficiency, and a positive work environment
  

• Motivating employees and maintaining high standards of quality, morale, and productivity
  

• Overseeing inventory of supplies necessary for day-to-day operations
  

• Assisting the Director, Manufacturing Supply Chain in daily operations of Fabrication, Shipping, and Packing
  

• Ensuring compliance with work instructions, policies, safety, quality, and ISO standards
  

• Optimizing workflow, controlling overtime, vacation hours, and evaluating employee performance
  

• Addressing disciplinary actions and collaborating with Human Resources to resolve employee issues
  

• Driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
  

• Bring at least five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics (required)
  

• Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  

• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
  

• Excel in analytical and problem-solving abilities
  

• Have experience with Manufacturing ERP systems (Infor Syteline ERP experience preferred)
  

• Are capable of sitting for extended periods and lifting 25-50 lbs. as needed
