Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35203
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment activities. This role helps ensure the efficient and accurate handling of products including boxed beef orders, route truck loading, and will-call orders. The position requires flexibility to work in multiple warehouse functions while maintaining safety, quality, and GMP compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, and product handling.


  • Support accurate and efficient order fulfillment for route trucks, boxed beef orders, and will-call orders.


  • Perform warehouse functions such as loading, unloading, stretch wrapping, product put-away, order selecting, scanning, palletizing, labeling, and invoicing.


  • Rebox products and assist with general warehouse clean-up duties.


  • Work in refrigerated and freezer environments as required.


  • Assist QA and accounting departments with processing product returns and ensuring appropriate credits are issued.


  • Conduct item-to-item product transfers when necessary.


  • Support investigation of inventory discrepancies.


  • Ensure all powered equipment inspection forms are completed daily and report any potential safety concerns to management.


  • Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.


  • Assist with special product requirements and other warehouse needs as assigned.

Work Environment

This role operates in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment, including:

  • Coolers: 35°F – 45°F


  • Freezers: 10°F to -10°F


  • Warehouse areas may reach up to 95°F

The environment may also be cool, wet, and refrigerated depending on the work area.
