Position Summary:
This Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting and leading in the design/development of our assembly equipment, manufacturing equipment and tools. Responsibilities also include the development of required manufacturing processes. Current production processes include the in-house design/production of machines and test equipment. This will be done by utilizing off-the shelf components and PLC’s to interface with sensors to control actuators. The Company fosters an extremely dynamic work environment which requires this candidate to have a high mechanical and electrical aptitude while demonstrating very strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Job Duties:
Design, build, and maintain assembly test fixtures and equipment.
Identify automation techniques to maximize production efficiency.
Provide cost estimates for various manufacturing projects.
Helps evaluate processes for quality control improvements.
HMI and PLC Programming
Promotes a positive, innovative culture, and workplace
Works with other functional groups to ensure successful problem solving and project completion.
Assists Product Engineering in DFM, DFA, FMEA.
Required Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Experience/Skills:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
SolidWorks CAD, CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office.
Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Possess a hands-on style with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
