Location: Edgewood, NY (On-site)
Shift: Night Shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
Pay Rate: $24.00–$26.00/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Direct Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Equipment Technician to maintain and support production equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting installation and relocation of equipment. The technician will also work with systems related to archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data, including file-based servers where applicable.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond promptly to technical support calls.

Accurately log all support activities in the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX).

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, controls, and computer hardware related to production equipment.

Assist with relocation and installation of production equipment as needed.

Track parts usage and provide recommendations for inventory levels.

Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, including accurate maintenance records.

Follow all safety procedures consistently.

Contribute to a positive team environment and support team morale.

Provide feedback to leadership on junior technician performance.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.

At least 3 years of experience in a production environment with equipment repair knowledge.

Experience operating and repairing high-speed production equipment.

Vendor or equipment repair certification (e.g., BlueCrest, Bowe, Buhrs) preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to follow direction and work effectively under time constraints.

Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
-
Ability to lift, carry, and move 25+ lbs throughout the shift.
Work Schedule & Compensation

Night Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Overtime: Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 per week

Double time applies when working 7 consecutive days
