Assembler I (Assembly Specialist)

Pay Rate: $21/hour
Reports To: Assembler Lead
Location: Holliston, MA
Position Type: Full-Time


Position Summary

The Assembler I (Assembly Specialist) is responsible for assembling components according to product specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts and components according to product specifications and procedures


  • Read and interpret work documents, bills of materials, and assembly procedures


  • Conduct product tests and calibrations to ensure all components meet tolerances, specifications, and quality standards


  • Repair or refit parts or units that fail testing or fall outside tolerance levels


  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities


  • Inspect work results to confirm compliance with specifications


  • Package and over-pack products as needed


  • Assist with cycle counting and physical inventories


  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area while following all safety procedures


  • Promote teamwork by offering support and sharing knowledge with co-workers


  • Adapt positively to varying assignments and assist in other duties as assigned


  • Willingness to work overtime as requested


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required


  • 0–1 year of assembly experience preferred (entry-level candidates encouraged)


  • Basic computer skills required


  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures, documentation, and work instructions in English


  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing tools


  • Ability to identify, form, and install various components


  • Knowledge of blueprints/schematics is a plus


  • Strong communication and teamwork skills


Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 65 lbs


  • Stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility for extended periods


  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required
