LAB TECHNICIAN
Location: Niagara Falls, NY 14304
Work Schedule: Tue top Sat, 8:30 am to 5 pm
Pay rate: USD 21-25$ (according to experience)
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent), technical or general.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Excel/Word; able to create charts and graphs.
- General lab/R&D skills and safe chemical handling.
- Comfortable working in plant environments and scaling up processes (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, mechanical, and innovation skills (preferred).
- Detail-oriented, independent, able to meet deadlines and observe test details critically.
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Quality Testing:
- Organize, schedule, and communicate about sample testing.
- Perform standard and special tests on production samples (e.g., hardness, particle size, surface area, chemical analyses).
- Calibrate and maintain lab instruments; ensure accurate results and proper procedures.
- Analyze and record findings, report to relevant personnel, and release materials after approvals.
- Organize, schedule, and communicate about sample testing.

- Support and train new staff, work on personal or special projects, order lab supplies.

- Maintain accurate records (both paper and digital) of all tests and sample logs.

- Follow lab safety procedures, participate in safety audits and meetings, report unsafe conditions.
