Location: Norwood, MA
Position Type: Full-Time | Direct-Hire
Salary: 60K – 70K
Hours: Monday – Friday | 7am to 4pm


Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator I – Facilities & Tooling to support both tooling management and facility maintenance operations. This is a hands-on role that combines manufacturing support, equipment tracking, and building maintenance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Tooling & Manufacturing Support

  • Track, monitor, and maintain tooling, calibration materials, and related records


  • Support calibration and preventative maintenance procedures in accordance with company Quality Management System (QMS)


  • Maintain systems for tracking and controlling measurement and test equipment


  • Requisition materials, supplies, and equipment parts as needed


  • Schedule repairs and maintenance for tools and equipment


  • Assist with data entry and support tasks for New Product Introduction (NPI)


  • Log work orders in and out using company computer systems


  • Perform various manufacturing support tasks as assigned


  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area


Facilities Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine building inspections


  • Complete basic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, door locks)


  • Perform custodial duties such as cleaning spills and restocking supplies


  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance materials


  • Assemble, repair, and move furniture (desks, cabinets, chairs, shelving, etc.)


  • Coordinate with external vendors (fire alarm inspections, waste disposal, snow removal, pest control)


  • Ensure facility is safe, clean, and operational at all times


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or facilities support preferred


  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, or general maintenance


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to manage records, order supplies, and schedule maintenance tasks


  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)


  • Strong organizational and time management abilities


  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team


  • High attention to detail and reliability


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 25–50 lbs regularly


  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods


  • Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
