Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Job Overview
The Temporary Assembly Operator I (Water Spider) supports the assembly process by efficiently assembling, testing, etching, and moving components within the facility. This entry-level position follows standardized work instructions and manufacturing drawings to ensure high product quality and operational efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic and mechanical components following standardized work instructions, top-level, and sub-level drawings.
- Operate etching equipment and perform packing, transfer, and movement of parts across the facility.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Operation Method Sheets (OMS).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspace, adhering to 5S standards throughout the shift.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and quality in all duties.
- Follow all directions, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Support varied and semi-routine tasks, adapting to shifting priorities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and read assembly drawings and SOPs.
- Physical ability to stand for most of the shift and lift/move up to 15 pounds unassisted (occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance).
- Willingness to adhere to safety, cleanliness, and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry-level position; previous experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Regular use of hands for handling, moving, and assembling parts.
- Frequent standing; occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Close vision required for detailed assembly work.
