Kelly Engineering is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for a long-term contract at one of our Global medical device ortho clients in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
This role is a full-time, fully benefited contract position. As a Kelly employee, you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. You’ll also be eligible for paid time off, including holiday, vacation and sick/personal time.
As a Manufacturing Engineer placed with Kelly Engineering, you will be responsible for:
- Data processing, collaborate directly with a programmer to implement an interactive production/training tool that guides the manufacturing of surgical robotics and power tools.
- Read work instructions and transfer data from pdf/word files into JSON files (readable by Python script) paying close attention to syntax/detail.
- Organize CAD and video files into correct folders to allow program to function properly.
- Establish relationship between each instruction step and the tools needed to complete that step.
- Collect feedback from Operations department and communicate with the programmer to make updates and perform further testing.
- Iterate on the interactive tool by 3D-printing parts, capturing high-resolution photos of tools and components, and modifying the setup as needed.
- Test the interactive system in production settings and document issues and improvements.
- Support the Operations department with 5S and LEAN initiatives to help the team meet 2026 production volume targets.
- Participate in other production-related projects as required.
Requirements:
- BS Computer Science preferred or Engineering
- Data Processing
- Manufacturing experience 1 year minimum
- Sharp and articulate with excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of coding, Python, or a similar programming language
