Aircraft Technician II

Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour
Duration: 48-month contract
Location: Savannah, GA 31408
Schedule: 2nd Shift

Position Purpose

Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions including removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems to ensure compliance with procedures, performance standards, and test specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Advanced Aircraft Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and modify aircraft systems and structures of moderate to advanced complexity with minimal supervision while ensuring all work meets quality standards and FAA requirements.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete required paperwork (CMP cards, work orders, sign-offs) thoroughly and accurately; coordinate closely with internal departments to comply with FAA and company inspection/documentation standards.

  • Equipment & Property Management: Properly tag, store, and secure aircraft components, customer property, and equipment, following all standard operating procedures for ground support equipment.

  • Safety & Process Improvement: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to safety regulations, and apply lean/continuous improvement processes to all tasks.

  • Training & Support: Provide on-the-job training to less experienced technicians and support aircraft movement and certification processes as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate with 2+ years of aviation maintenance experience

    • or 4 years aviation maintenance experience (including 2 with mid/large size aircraft).


  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals.

  • Ability to perform and document complex inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mid/large aircraft with minimal supervision.
