Pay Rate: $18/hr
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00am-2:30pm
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving Associate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible to move between different roles throughout the day. If you have experience with forklifts, stock pickers, and general warehouse duties – and are ready to start immediately – we want to meet you!


Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Putaway:

  • Load and unload trucks, interface with common carriers.

  • Sign bills of lading for incoming shipments and process related documentation (IBL, packing lists) using SAP.

  • Inspect incoming products and verify against paperwork for accuracy; sort and prepare products for storage.

  • Receive inventory into SAP with barcode scanners or computers.

  • Place product in correct locations using forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.

  • Break down/lump floor-loaded containers.

Picking:

  • Pick products for customer and manufacturing orders using barcode scanners, pick tickets, and related equipment.

  • Perform bin location audits and manage unit load/carton transfers.

  • Accurately weigh or hand-count quantities for order fulfillment.

Packing:

  • Pack orders according to SAP instructions, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, including special packaging and labeling.

  • Prepare and label hazardous or flammable materials in line with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Shipping:

  • Prepare packages and pallets for shipment, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Generate manifests and bills of lading, verifying with physical counts in the staging area.

  • Schedule and arrange carrier pickups.

  • Load and unload cartons to/from pallets, carts, or conveyors using appropriate equipment.

General & Additional Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation; perform general housekeeping as needed.

  • Manage recycling and disposal of pallets and warehouse materials.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety, security, and emergency procedures.

  • Recommend process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identify damaged products and escalate to QA as needed.

  • Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the Shift Foreperson.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • At least 1 year of relevant warehouse or distribution experience.

  • Forklift and stock picker certification strongly preferred.

  • Basic computer skills; experience with SAP a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30 ft.

  • Flexibility to move between roles (picking, packing, shipping, and receiving) as needed.
