Kelly Services is now hiring a Production Sanitizer. You will be responsible for performing sanitation and equipment setup duties on the production line. Previous experience is required. Pay rate is $18 per hour. Hours are 5am-3:3:30pm Monday-Friday. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate!
Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions:
- Disassemble and reassemble production filling equipment as directed/trained using hand tools.
- Follow instructions and SOPs for cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment.
- Set up production lines for specific products according to the production schedule.
- Connect product tanks with production supply lines by hand.
- Perform daily and other cleaning assignments as scheduled by supervision to uphold overall plant cleanliness.
- Conduct minor maintenance on equipment (pumps, tanks, hoses, filling hoppers) during the cleaning process to ensure integrity and performance.
- Keep accurate records of all cleaning performed.
- Report any unsanitary practices observed to the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Mechanical ability.
- Knowledge of setting up and repairing transfer pumps and filling machines.
- Basic math skills for measuring fill speed, fill rate, etc.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to grasp, manipulate, and use hand tools.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 35 pounds from the floor to shoulder height or vice versa.
- Stand for up to three hours at a time.
- Visual acuity to recognize problems and troubleshoot.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity skills for using hand tools.
- Capability to sit, bend, squat, reach, pull, twist, and turn.
- Reach forward and overhead.
- Able to use cleaning chemicals.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of work experience in manufacturing or equivalent experience.
- Previous equipment maintenance work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
