Job Title: Production Operator II
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay: $26.40/hour ($24/hr base pay + 10% shift differential)
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM (Second Shift)
Position Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operator II to join our second shift manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in turning raw materials into high-quality finished goods—operating equipment, performing quality checks, and keeping precise records, all while supporting a safe and efficient production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment to produce finished goods from raw materials according to established procedures and safety standards.
- Accurately track and record inventory of raw materials, in-process work, and finished goods using data sheets and inventory systems.
- Perform routine in-process tests (e.g., hardness, weight, variation, pH, moisture content) to confirm products meet required specifications.
- Recognize and promptly troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or product deficiencies to maintain optimal production levels.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and subassembly layouts to ensure correct assembly and product quality.
- Maintain running accounts of orders, work completed, and inventory levels.
- Balance workload, staffing, and equipment resources to match inventory and production goals.
- Prepare and monitor master production schedules in collaboration with planning, production, and maintenance teams.
- Requisition needed materials and coordinate delivery times to keep production on track.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or related environment (vocational training a plus).
- Working knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and inventory management.
- Able to adapt as needed and determine when deviations from standard procedures are appropriate.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent record-keeping, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working a semi-routine set of varied tasks with limited supervision.
