Production Planner – Junior Production Planner
Location: Newark CA
Job Purpose:
The Junior Production Planner will report directly to the Supervisor, Planning Procurement and is responsible for managing and executing daily transactions for the master production schedule in a rapidly growing life sciences reagent manufacturing facility. This role primarily involves processing batch records and maintaining transactional discipline to ensure accurate inventory in the ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all material transactions in the ERP system, including but not limited to: backflushing, job creation, adjustments, cycle counting, and variance management.
- Prepare, print, and distribute work orders and job/batch record packets to manufacturing and QC teams for production and testing as needed.
- Monitor work orders throughout production and QC processes; assist in resolving delays or issues and escalate as needed.
- Support ERP data entry tasks and participate in improvement projects under guidance of the Planning Procurement Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment (life sciences, biotech, or regulated industries preferred). Familiarity with ISO 13485 is a plus.

- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with manufacturing, QC, and procurement staff
