About the Role

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Compounding Technician to support a compounding operation in Alpharetta, GA. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plastics processing or extrusion equipment who is looking to grow within a dynamic, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute compounding programs to support R&D product and process development


  • Operate compounding extruders and auxiliary processing equipment


  • Monitor extrusion processes and make minor adjustments as needed


  • Maintain accurate process documentation and submit samples for testing


  • Coordinate product shipments and ensure timely delivery


  • Clean and maintain compounding equipment according to SOPs


  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety audits and training


  • Work closely with supervisors to ensure efficient operations


  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required


  • Associate’s Degree or technical certification in a related field preferred


  • 5–7+ years of experience in plastics processing or maintenance

    • OR 2+ years of experience with a relevant degree/certification



  • Experience with extrusion equipment operation and maintenance is a plus


  • Strong mechanical aptitude


  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel


  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 lbs regularly


  • Must be able to wear a respirator (medical clearance required)


  • Forklift operation experience or ability to learn


Additional Details

  • Overtime (40+ hours/week) and occasional alternate shifts may be required


  • Occasional overnight travel may be required


  • No relocation assistance provided
