Opportunity to gain experience in aircraft assembly, installation, and testing
What’s a typical day as a Final Line Mechanic I? You’ll be:
-
Assembling, installing, and adjusting aircraft structural components and systems
-
Rigging control cables, linkages, landing gear, engines, and associated hardware
-
Removing and replacing components, fitting system lines, and performing basic repairs
-
Installing system lines, valves, and ducts to ensure leak-free operation
-
Using a variety of tools such as permaswage pumps, pneumatic tools, wrenches, gauges, and cutters
-
Ensuring all work meets quality standards and performing rework when necessary
-
Updating and maintaining logs and documentation (MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs, etc.)
-
Inspecting your own work to ensure defect-free installations prior to final inspection
-
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area while supporting FOD and 5S programs
-
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and participating in aircraft testing activities as needed

Performing additional duties as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED
-
At least 1 year of aerospace, aviation, or related mechanical experience (automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)
-
A&P License (can substitute for required experience)
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
-
Experience using hand tools and mechanical equipment for assembly and repair
-
Ability to perform tasks such as drilling, reaming, and fitting parts
-
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
-
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam (preferred)
