Business Consultant / Sales Representative

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

3-months temporary with potential to go longer

 

Our customer is looking for a Business Consultant/Sales Representative, located in the Ottawa, ON, who will be responsible for achieving sales objectives within the Ottawa region and beyond, ensuring growth by regularly visiting customers, according to their profile and customer’s programs. Executes brand strategies in compliance with distribution, training, productivity and merchandising standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for lens products (volume, revenue, penetration rate)

  • Develop and follow an effective visitation plan to meet with key clients in a cycle of 4 to 12 weeks or less

  • Ensure a regular presence with customers to represent lenses, support sales and enhance brands

  • Accurately document visits and interactions in internal CRM systems

  • Use reporting tools, technical training, samples, and digital platforms to improve customer engagement and sales performance.

  • Manage distribution in the territory according to brand guidelines and market objectives

  • Maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the client organization

  • Provide regular training on products, lens technology and brand messaging

  • Stay informed of market trends, competition, and technological innovations

  • Develop and retain existing customers while identifying new opportunities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to implement integrated programs

  • Representing the company at trade fairs and events

  • Develop strategic business plans based on internal tools and programs

  • Provide sales reports and forecasts to management on a regular basis

  • Participate in required training, team meetings, calls and field events

  • Organize or take part in clinical events to boost engagement and lens sales

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in direct sales with demonstrated results

  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)

  • Strong sales, interpersonal, training and presentation skills

  • Analytical and solution-oriented mind

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Frequent travel, including overnight stays (up to 100%)

  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required

  • University degree an asset

 

PERKS:

  • $32.69 per hour, plus quarterly bonus, and paid mileage

  • Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
