Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired to provide school-based services for a local intermediate Unit for Extended School Year – 2026

Job Summary:
The Extended School Year program is hiring Teachers of the Blind and Visually Impaired to provide direct instruction, adaptive materials, and consultative support to students with visual impairments to facilitate their compensation for a sensory deficit and to access the academic curriculum.
Essential Functions:
- Provide instruction in Unified English Braille (UEB) Nemeth Code, visual discrimination, and other areas specific to students with visual impairments
- Knowledge of Neurological Visual Impairments and facilitation techniques to support visual access
- Independently plan and effectively deliver curriculum based on needs specified in Individual Educational Plans.
- Observes, evaluates and prepares reports on progress of students.

Travel: Travel may be required for in home and itinerant instruction throughout Bucks County. Mileage is reimbursed in accordance with current IRS guidelines and rates.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
Level of Degree:
- Active, Pennsylvania Special Education – Visually Impaired N-12 Certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with students with Autism, life skills, multiple disabilities and/or other disabilities.
- Experience working in educational settings with professional communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to accept and implement teacher directives to support students and staff in classroom.
- Ability to work independently.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
