What’s a typical day as an Avionics Installer II? You’ll be:
-
Assisting with the installation, removal, and modification of avionics and electrical components
-
Fabricating and installing wire harnesses, including terminations, ring-out, and functional testing
-
Working from blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings to complete installations
-
Performing system checks and inspections to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
-
Maintaining accurate logs and documentation for all work performed
-
Ensuring all work complies with regulatory requirements and customer specifications
-
Supporting FOD, tool control, and 5S programs while maintaining a clean and organized work area
-
Properly maintaining and caring for tools and shop equipment
-
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events
-
Completing tasks within assigned timeframes and supporting team production goals
-
Performing additional duties as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Two (2) years of aviation electronics schooling or related avionics/electrical experience
-
OR an avionics certificate plus one (1) year of related experience
-

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
-
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications in aerospace environments
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Basic computer and software proficiency
