Production Associate III Job Description
Location: Stoughton, WI
Pay: $25-30/hr
Schedule: M-F 7am-4pm
Duration: 3 month assignment with possible extension
Job Summary:
The Production Associate III operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements, ensuring safety within a manufacturing environment. May instruct or coach others as part of daily responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

  • Stop work and promptly report any major injury hazards.

  • Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Use proper personal protective equipment.

  • Promote interdependence and look out for team members.

  • Correct hazards within personal control and capabilities.

  • Recognize and minimize environmental impacts from work.

  • Participate in all required HSE training.

Quality:

  • Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures (e.g. SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards).

  • Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

  • Perform quality inspections and identify/control non-conforming material.

Delivery:

  • Operate equipment independently to manufacture and assemble products to customer expectations.

  • Instruct and coach others as an informal resource for less experienced team members.

  • Achieve production goals and maintain required cycle time or engineering standards.

  • Keep work area clean and orderly, performing housekeeping and planned operator care/maintenance tasks.

  • Remain flexible and perform other duties as needed to meet production goals.

  • Work with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain/identify equipment requiring repair.

Teamwork:

  • Communicate effectively with the team and all support groups.

  • Complete training and personal development aligned with business needs.

  • Participate actively in process, quality, and material flow improvements and support employee development.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  4. Welding Experience (TIG and MIG)

  5. Machining Skills: Manual lathe, milling machine, CNC milling machine experience

Additional Details:

  • General laborer role focusing on welding and machining projects.

  • Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and creative problem solving are essential.
